Divorce usually involves lawyers. With lawyers come legal bills; piles and piles of legal bills. For those of us that don’t have a fat bank account to support divorce, the only real option left is to do the divorce yourself. Divorce yourself method is also called Pro Se which means that you represent yourself in a divorce case. The process and documents involved to divorce yourself will still be the same; the only difference is that you don’t have a middle man, which incidentally is where most of the money spent on divorce goes. You will still be filling out divorce forms, but you’ll have to procure and file it yourself.
If you decide to represent yourself in the divorce case you should be prepared legally and emotionally. This article will help you be familiarized with the divorce process and the legal documents you will need. However, emotional preparation is something you have to do on your own. A divorce symbolizes so much more than the end of a marriage. Having divorce records to show is almost as emotionally important as that marriage license was when you first start out. Divorce doesnât happen in a minute, it takes time for people to grow apart, to find a new focus, and to be ready to move on. That divorce certificate is tangible proof of the change.
Keeping a Copy of a Divorce
When a couple divorces, it can be difficult for one or the other to move on. Still, that divorce decree is a hard copy version of an agreement that is designed to support both partners as they progress into a new life. Child and spousal support arrangements, parenting schedules and important commitments like life or health insurance are all delineated within the divorce decree.

Has anybody had any experience with this? If so, could you share?
I am planning on filling for a divorce in Florida, and as unusual as it may seem, I don’t have the $ 400 needed to file.
After I pay my rent, cc and all other bills, gas and food and I am barely left with something, so I am considering filling for an affidavit of inability to pay costs.
Any input is highly appreciated

A quick divorce is an uncontested form of divorce in which both partners have already discussed and agreed on the property dispersion and on child custody and support arrangements. A quick divorce is uncontested when both husband and wife accept an agreement with respect to all financial and divorce-related issues (e.g. grounds for divorce, child custody, child support, visitation, value and distribution of marital assets, allocation of marital debt, and spousal support). Here both partners must accept to the uncontested divorce.
Clients often trust on that their online divorce will be uncontested, but later learn that the other partner does not agree to a resolution of all of the issues. If you believe that your quick divorce will be uncontested one, then online legal advisors are a free initial consultation.

I bought the do it yourself divorce kit and am wanting to file it but how easy is it to actually go through with it? Do the clerks and judges treat a person with respect and dignity when you take the papers to file? I am curious about this because it takes a lot of work to fill them out, and also it is time consuming. Has anyone done this before?
