Question by : Can men claim infertility costs during divorce?
My uncle was married for 21 years with a wife who refused to have children. They are now divorcing and he wants to have a child at 47 before he gets too old. His wife trying to rape him of every penny he owns and get spousal support. Can he present anything to a court to allow him extra funds to regain fertility. He had a vasectomy done 20 years ago to satisfy his soon-to-be-ex-wife.
The word “rape” was not used so unstragetically. He has offered everything he owns but she still wants more. Rape was used very appropriately but thanks for your ignorance

When you are considering or proceeding with a divorce, it can be an emotional and distressing time, it can often the expense involved in the divorce can contribute to that, particularly if you are unsure about how much it will cost. If you can spend some time reading up on divorce proceedings and the law, then it will help you find the right solicitor and be sure about exactly what it is you hope to achieve, which will ultimately reduce the cost you will incur.
Negotiating agreements with your spouse can reduce the cost of a solicitor, but often these agreements are strained under the pressure involved in a divorce, and break agreements previously made. Solicitors can help communicate negotiations with you and your spouse, and so their costs depend on their level of involvement.

The overall cost of your divorce can be impacted by several behaviors you may be able to control. When a marriage dissolves there are several important topics that need to be addressed and sorted out such as child custody and visitation, division of property, and support. Recognizing the following 4 behaviors and how to manage them ahead of time may be able to help your divorce lawyer properly gather the information he/she needs to put your case together and can reduce your divorce costs at the same time.

It is said that marriages are made in heaven. Although we have a very sanctimonious outlook for marriage, but we also cannot rule out the fact that the same marriage ends in an ugly divorce in many cases. In fact, it has been observed that the number of divorce cases is increasing substantially with every passing year. This is more so the case when one has to go through a contested divorce.
Essentially, a contested divorce is one where one of the parties in the divorce settlement does not accept what is said about them in the divorce papers. This could be due to various reasons such as children, property, assets or visitation or many others. In fact, if the couple has anything that is owned, it can be contested in the divorce. Such types of divorces are usually like wars, where there are battles, negotiations and counter-reactions. Irrespective of the fact whether the woman or the man is contesting the divorce, it a very traumatic event for both the parties in question. Also, if the couple have children who are under the age of 18, then you may also need to contest for custody (residence) for them. Also, they have to go through the agony of not being able to stay with both their parents. It is a good idea to make a clear list of all the jointly owned assets and liabilities by you. Then, you can also decide upon what you want out of your partner, once the divorce is final. This will help you in contesting the divorce with a clear perspective.
