Many couples have been merrily breezing along then, IT happened. There was not enough money to meet all the monthly obligations. With both, you fill out the forms, the self divorce form packet is $ 30.00, while the 3-step online divorce program is $ 300. and with both, you will have to file at the courthouse, which has its own cost right? Is there really a difference?

I have not seen or heard from my husband since 1994. I want a divorce

There are no children, no property, no debts. Just a plain uncontested divorce. How difficult is it? How much does a do-it-yourself cost? How much would a lawyer charge? Also do you know anything about online divorce?I am in NC if that makes a difference.

My ex and I have been seperated since 2002 and still havent gotten divorced. We have 3 children and he dosent pay any child support so I havent been able to come up with the extra money to get the divorce done myself. Im trying to find some low-cost options or advice.This is really a pain to be attached to someone that you no longer love or care about.

Get the divorce packet? Fill it out first (do me and my husband sign it first) OR do I file it with the court first (we’re in NYC) Usually, does the court assign an index number right away or do they mail it to you? Is anyone familiar with this?

Also, what happens, if you filed for divorce but later on change your mind? Do you have to let the court know or just leave it alone?

I’m getting a divorce, something that should have happened long ago, and I already have a ton of bills. Thinking of doing a do-it-yourself divorce to save some needed cash. Luckily we don’t have any kids and the bills are already seperate -he has his and I have mine. The house and mortgage are in my name, not his. any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I have often read about a legal person serving divorce papers on a spouse. How is this done with a do-it-yourself kit? and how do you live side by side in the same house once he is served the summons of divorce, especially if he is not expecting it?
Its a rented house we live in, I pay the whole rent as he is unemployed and dependant financially on me!
