These marriages are the ones that you feel lost and feel the need to end the whole process. Divorcing the spouse can be a complicated process to go through, but if you are lucky enough to get an uncontested divorce, then it can be easier. If you get an attorney, they will do all of the paperwork but you will be stuck with a large bill to pay. Hiring an attorney may not be the best option for everyone. So, what is the least expensive way to file for an uncontested divorce in Florida?

Whether you reside in Florida, want a California divorce, or a North Carolina divorce, the result is the same…it will be much less expensive for both parties if you obtain your paperwork online and file the divorce papers yourself. This is all perfectly legal and very affordable, an instant way to decrease your personal divorce cost. Each state has separate residency requirements, so you will need to access the state website for that information, as it changes from year to year. Parties can file divorce on their own (or pro se), but more often than not, at least one spouse will retain an attorney. The attorney’s retainer is rarely less than ,000.00. Not every couple has a spare ,000.00 to spend on two attorneys – and the retainer is likely just the beginning.

Is online divorce filing in Ontario available? The short answer is No.

You should be able to but the government in Ontario continues to administer its court system ignoring the availability of technology that would make it possible.

As I wrote recently, while your Ontario Application for Divorce and Separation Agreements can be generated online using services like MyOntarioDivorce, the paperwork will have to be filed offline at the Ontario Family Court where you live. You can find a list of Ontario Family Court locations by visiting the Attorney General website.

Question by lissasmurf27: Am i entitled to child support in illinois if we file divorce and have joint custody of the children?
My x says does not have to pay child support if we agree to joint custody and if I ask for it in divorce then he will start a full custody battle. Does anyone know how this works ? He makes a lot more than I and I already walked away from my house and pets. Now he wants the kids too!

Question by caligrrl: Am I still married? And how do I file for uncontested divorce online if my ex and I live in different states?
My ex-husband and I were only married about a year. We got married in a state neither of us currently live in. We have now been separated since 1999, a year after we got married. At one point he filed for divorce and sent me the docs; I signed and notarized them and sent them back. Apparently he moved and said he never got them and says we are still married.

I need to get this divorce handled asap as I am engaged to someone else and he wants to put me on his insurance in a few weeks. He also does not know about this situation and thinks I am divorced. My questions are: a) Is there some public registry where I can find out if indeed we ARE still officially married? b) He lives in one state, I live in another, and we got married in a complete other state. Do I have to file in the state that we were married in? c) Are there any low cost reputable online divorce sites other than LegalZoom, which is not low cost?
