Not true. Katherine Parr was widowed.
long long age of the henry viii
I remember waking up in the middle of the night when i was a kid and turning on the TV and this was on! lol not many kids would bother watching aa black and white film but since it was late and nothing esle was on, i decided to watch it. It was actually henrys massive fat built that caught my attention lol Im only 21 now, this happened like 5-10 years ago lol
@moexus good for u?
Your introductory comment, “[e]ach ended in divorce or the execution of the women,” is not correct. His third wife, Jane Seymour, died after giving birth to the future King Edward VI, and his sixth wife, Katherine Parr, survived him!
haven’t seen this in years. thank you!
imagine how funny it would be if they remade this fim with danny mcbride as Henry VIII
It’s actually very easy to remember what became of Henry’s six wives: Divorced – Beheaded – Died, Divorced – Beheaded - Survived.
I’d like to introduce Henry to my ex-wife!
@Weasler455 It is Divorced – Beheaded – Died, Divorced – Beheaded – Survived. The best way to remember is the silly song from Horrible History. I think that the video is in YouTube.
Henry VIII-one of the biggest pieces of excrement to have ever walked this earth. I find it mind-boggling that someone in his court didn’t drive a knife through his black heart. Don’t you find it amazing the number of psychopaths that have ruled in human history?
@TheAlitxu You are correct. I totally meant to write Anne of Cleves and for some reason wrote Howard. My bad!
@MissLizaMay Not exactly. If you want to be 100% accurate, the re were 4 divorces or anullments, because he also divorced both Anne Boleyn & Catherine Howard before executing them. He did not want to execute an actual Queen of England, so he made sure that the marriages were anulled as you well said and that they lost their title.
Traditionally the “Divorced” are Katherine of Aragon & Anne of Cleves, Anne Boleyn & Catherine Howard are under the category “Executed” only, to simplify matters.
@TheAlitxu Actually there were 2 divorces (although he called them anullments) – Catherine of Aragon and Catherine Howard.
tired of ads. I just closed it
Great treat, thanks. Laugton was ceratinly a gifted actor.
Yus a comment. You say that the 5 marriages ended in divorce or execution, but in fact there was 1 divorce, 2 executions, 1 died of puerperal fever and 1 survived…
lovely thanks
